About Coalition Nigérienne Contre les MNT (CoMNT)
The Coalition Nigérienne Contre les MNT (CoMNT) brings together NGOs and associations whose statutory object is the fight against non-communicable diseases or risk factors. The aim of this coalition is to federate Nigerien civil society organisations involved in the fight against the risk factors of Non Communicable Diseases to carry out joint advocacy actions and awareness campaigns, in the prevention and control of Non Communicable Diseases.
- Conduct global campaigns for the adoption of legislation against the risk factors of NCDs;
- Strengthen the capacity of organisations within civil society, at national, regional and local levels;
- Promote the care of people living with NCDs;
- Promote measures to tax tobacco, alcohol, sugar and fat products;
- To associate and collaborate with other organisations with similar objectives and functions;
- To carry out any activity in support of its purpose, including programmes, projects, initiatives, campaigns, education, publications, events and the like.
