Intergovernmental Negotiations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda

The Open Working Group's Proposal for the Sustainable Development Goals is now being used as a basis for intergovernmental negotiations currently ongoing at the United Nations in New York. Eight sessions are scheduled from January to July 2015, culminating in the final version of the post 2015 development agenda to be adopted at a UN Summit in September 2015.

18-22 May 2015: Follow up and Review
22-25 June 2015: Outcome Document

27-31 July 2015: Outcome Document
25-27 September 2015: United Nations Summit

Intergovernmental negotiations, Stocktaking: 19-21 Jan 2015

Member States were invited to provide their reflections on the post-2015 process so far, and lay broad expectations for the process ahead and for the entire post-2015 agenda, including the proposed sustainable development goals and targets. A joint statement on health was delivered on Wednesday 21, during the interactive session.
