Months of armed conflict devastated parts of Marawi in the Philippines in 2017, leaving many of the city’s hospitals in ruins and thousands of people more vulnerable to noncommunicable diseases. CARE, Abbott and the Abbott Fund are partnering on one of the world's first programs to address NCDs in regions like Marawi that are affected by humanitarian challenges – improving lives by advancing the prevention and care of NCDs.
