SPARK–NCD launch in Zanzibar highlights momentum for integrated HIV-NCD care in Africa

At a high-level meeting in Zanzibar, regional leaders, researchers, governments and civil society came together to highlight growing momentum behind more integrated responses to HIV and noncommunicable diseases in Africa.

The launch of Africa CDC’s new SPARK–NCD Programme and new evidence on HIV–NCD integration come at a time of shifting global health priorities, reinforcing the need for stronger, more coordinated and country-led approaches to chronic care.
