NCD Alliance Policy Series for the High-Level Meeting on NCDs

The NCD Alliance launched the Alliance Plan for the UN High-Level Summit on NCDs in September 2010 outlining its plan for a coordinated and resourced programme of work by civil society in the lead up to the Summit.

A key element was the establishment of Working Groups comprising the world's top NCD experts to produce the latest policy work on the Alliance's six long term objectives:

1. NCD / disease national plans for all

2. A tobacco free world

3. Improved lifestyles

4. Strengthened health systems

5. Global access to affordable and good quality medicines and technologies

6. Human rights for people with NCDs

The Working Groups produced the below series of publications which were sent to UN member states ahead of the UN Summit and played an important role in influencing priorities for the Summit's Political Declaration issued by UN
