World Cancer Day
World Cancer Day is observed annually on 4 February and is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), bringing people and organisations around the world together to raise awareness and drive action on cancer.
The 2025–2027 campaign, **“United by Unique,”** places people at the centre of cancer care, recognising that every person affected by cancer has different needs, experiences and circumstances. The campaign calls for health systems and policies that respond to those differences while advancing the shared goal of reducing the global cancer burden.
Achieving better cancer outcomes requires action across prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, palliative care and survivorship, alongside equitable access to quality services and strong, adequately financed health systems.
On World Cancer Day 2027, join the NCD Alliance, UICC and the global cancer community in calling for people-centred cancer care and stronger action to ensure everyone can access the prevention, treatment and care they need.
