The number of people globally living with disabilities continues to grow but their ability to access healthcare, including prevention and treatment for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) has not greatly improved in the past decade, says a new World Health Organization (WHO) report.

12 December is Universal Health Coverage Day, convened under the theme Build the World We Want: A Healthy Future for All, this year’s celebration will be the last before the 2023 High-Level Meeting on UHC in September.

Over 300 delegates from 18 countries gathered in Kigali, Rwanda last week for a 2-day conference on NCDs hosted by the Rwanda NCD Alliance under the patronage of Rwanda Ministry of Health.

In the lead up to World AIDS Day on 1 December, UNAIDS is calling on all of us to unite to end the inequalities holding back the HIV response. NCDA join the call to close the access gap for NCDs.
