The Healthy Costa Rica Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that participates in the development of actions aimed at preserving and improving the population's health by formulating, reviewing, and implementing proposals on healthy eating, physical exercise, and general lifestyles that lead to a better quality of life for Costa Ricans.

It is an alliance of various social actors, non-governmental organizations, and government organizations whose goal is to strengthen civil society action in developing prevention and control measures for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Costa Rica through education, awareness-raising, research, and the promotion of effective policies.

The Association was founded in 2019 with the participation and commitment of a group of civil society professionals motivated by the desire to promote effective strategies that address the underlying causes of NCDs in Costa Rica.
