The Alliance for Tobacco Control and Health (Aliança de Controle do Tabagismo + Saúde), ACT+, is based in Brazil and focused on tobacco control and NCDs. ACT+ works on advocacy; communication; implementation; and research and monitoring surrounding the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and the Global NCD Action Plan. The activities are carried out with the support of a network of civil society representatives and citizens committed to promoting public health.
ACT+ launched the first ever Civil Society Report on the Situation of NCDs in Brazil in September 2014, calling for an integrated approach towards the NCD epidemic.
