The Lancet NCDI Poverty Commission: bridging a gap in universal health coverage for the poorest billion urges greater action to combat of the world's biggest and neglected health disparities: NCDIs. 

Substantial progress has been made on the removal of harmful trans fat from food: 58 countries have introduced laws to date that will protect more than 3 billion people from the toxic fat. 

Many countries are falling short or behind on their commitments to reducing premature mortality from NCDs. These are the findings of the 2nd edition of the NCD Countdown 2030 report, published today.
