The NCD Alliance invites the global NCD movement to join an NCD Trailblazers webinar
Healthy, sustainable food systems and policies to reduce diet-related NCDs
to be held on:
Tuesday 26 November 2019 from 3pm - 4:30pm CET // 9am - 10:30 EDT
Today, nearly one in three people live with at least one form of malnutrition including undernutrition, overweight or obesity and diet-related NCDs. Concurrently, there is increasing urgency to ensure food systems are healthy and environmentally sustainable.
On this NCD Trailblazers webinar, we will hear from some of those leading the charge to address dysfunctional food systems by focussing on different levers.
The webinar will include presentations from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), UNICEF, American Heart Association, World Obesity Federation, and World Cancer Research Fund International. We will learn how the face of malnutrition is changing, how nutrition and climate change are linked, about multi-duty policy options, and how a human-rights approach to healthy diets is necessary to secure sustainable, healthy food for all. Participants will also hear about new and forthcoming initiatives, resources and opportunities to help improve nutrition and health for everyone, everywhere.
