The Norwegian Cancer Society has launched a global campaign to raise awareness among the cancer community of the devastating effects of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) for cancer patients. 

"We should indeed care and take responsibility: If we do nothing, we risk having to witness that important progress made in cancer treatment –thanks to the joint efforts from governments, civil society, research institutions and private sector - can be set back decades, while the incidence of cancer cases will continue to rise in the years to come", said Anne Lise Ryel.

• Present the cancer perspective to your national authorities who work on the issue of antibiotic resistance. 
• Help raise the awareness of the general population, the medical community, and other relevant stakeholders on the necessity to restrict the use of antibiotics. Emphasise on the need for research and development of new antibiotics.
