NCD Diaries, as part of the Our Views, Our Voices initiative, is a participatory, community-based and digital storytelling project that illustrates and highlights individual lived experiences of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

The theme for the second series of the NCD Diaries is Universal Health Coverage (UHC), with a focus on the affordability of NCD healthcare. UHC is firmly rooted in the belief that the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health is a fundamental human right, and that all people should have access to quality essential health services without incurring financial hardship.

Do you or someone you care for have a lived experience of NCDs? Apply to become an NCD Diarist for the second series! Expressions of interest can be submitted in EnglishEspañol and Français!

The NCD Diaries are expected to reflect on personal experiences regarding the affordability of NCD healthcare around the world (both positive aspects as well as challenges) and related calls to action. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate alignment of their concept with the thematic focus of the NCD Diaries series and a clear reflection of their local context.

Following selection, the NCD Diarists' commitment and involvement as part of Series Two will span 3 months from mid-September until mid-December 2021.
