High-level Panel on Access to Medicines

15th March 2016

The UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on Access to Medicines held an open contribution period for submissions addressing issues affecting innovation and access to health technologies.

The NCD Alliance submitted a contribution to the Panel, highlighting some of the key factors behind lack of access to essential medicines and technologies for NCDs. A full list of all contributions can be found in the links below.

The Panel held a Global Dialogue on 10 March in London, where they heard from selected contributors on topics such as patents, strengthening policy coherence, and partnerships.

The next Dialogue will be held in Johannesburg on 17 March, and will be livestreamed. Following these Global Dialogues, the High-Level Panel will draft a report summarising their work and comments received via open contributions in mid-April. The report will be finalised and launched in June.
