The International Diabetes Federation KiDS Project has launched information packs in seven languages, offering information on diabetes management to children with diabetes, as well as teachers and parents of children with diabetes.
Kids and Diabetes in Schools (KiDS) aims to foster a supportive school environment that creates a better understanding of this chronic condition. Approximately 79,000 children are diagnosed with diabetes each year around the world. Schools play an important role in protecting the rights of children and teenagers with diabetes and overcoming stigma and discrimination.
