The 2016 World Cancer Congress will take place from 31 October-3 November in Paris, France. The conference will feature a dedicated
NCD Programme, including seven
NCD Café Sessions.
The NCD Programme will feature over 40 sessions specifically on NCD topics or related priorities including tobacco control, universal health coverage, and youth empowerment. High profile speakers, including Etienne Krug (Director, WHO Department for NCDs), Sir Trevor Hassell (President, Healthy Caribbean Coalition), Ana Langer (Director, Women and Health Initiative, Harvard School of Public Health), and Alejandro Calvillo (Director, El Poder del Consumidor).
Topics discussed in the NCD Café, organised by NCD Alliance Supporters, will include risk factor prevention, patient engagement, financing, sustainable health systems, solutions to address NCDs In vulnerable populations and more.
Other features of the conference not to be missed include three
plenary sessions with keynote speakers from world renowned experts and the
big debates series which set out to address the biggest cancer and NCD controversies on the global agenda – should we invest most in prevention? Do the benefits of partnering with industry outweigh the costs?
