The WHO has released a new web-based tool called “NCD MAP” intended to guide policy-makers and practitioners through the process of developing, implementing, and monitoring national multisectoral NCD plans based on effective use of available resources.

The WHO Global NCD Document Repository online provides access to over 1,300 documents containing national NCD targets, policies and guidelines submitted by countries to WHO. 

The repository can be searched by country using the interactive map available at https://extranet.who.int/ncdccs/documents/Db

While the majority of documents were received as part of each country's response to the WHO 2015 NCD Country Capacity Survey, new documents can be added at any time.

The tool provides practical resources related to five phases of planning from comprehensive situation analysis to stakeholder engagement and multisectoral governance mechanisms, national NCD MAP formulation, validation and implementation, and finally monitoring and evaluation.
