The NCD Alliance is extremely saddened by the passing of Her Excellency Ms Ameera Binkaram, President of the Board of Directors, Friend of Cancer Patients (FoCP), a tireless NCD champion and a friend.

HE Ameera worked closely with the NCD Alliance to deliver an outstanding Global NCD Alliance Forum in Sharjah, UAE in November 2015. Her leadership, passion and engagement were critical to the realisation of the Forum, a first-of-its-kind event convening civil society leaders from all continents to advance the cause against noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones and her colleagues.
