NCDs among top priorities for CSW61

08th March 2017

This year, the 61st Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61) will focus on women's economic empowerment in the changing world of work. CSW61 provides an opportunity for the NCD and health community to illustrate the links between poor health and the impact on women's economic potential.

Several of the side events during CSW will focus on NCDs, including two events cohosted by the NCD Alliance on Wednesday 15 March and Thursday 16 March, and two events cohosted by WHO focusing on nutrition and NCDs on Monday 20 March and Tuesday 21 March. These events will look at different aspects of NCDs and women's health, highlighting the multiple and varied opportunities for integration.
