Updates on the WHO Executive Board 136th Session

29th January 2015

Member States are meeting in Geneva this week for the 136th Session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board.

Relevant items on the agenda include the proposed WHO framework of engagement with non state actors, follow up to the 2014 UN High-level Review on NCDs, follow up to ICN2, and health systems (including climate health).

The framework for engagement with non state actors was discussed on Tuesday, with Member States proposing to refine it further in a drafting group, in order to have the framework ready for adoption by the 68th World Health Assembly in May.

The NCD agenda item will be discussed on Friday. NCDA will be delivering a statement on NCDs, and the post-2015 agenda item. Click here to read our statements and further details of EB discussions
