We aim for a world free from the preventable suffering, stigma, disability and death caused by non-communicable diseases.
We support empowering of patients, health professionals and people concerned about NCDs to organize strong, vibrant NCD Alliances in East Africa and to participate in collaborative advocacy, action and accountability for NCD prevention and control globally.The Danish NCD Alliance is a cooperation between the Danish Cancer Society and the Danish Diabetes Association. The alliance is hosted by the Cancer Society, but is administrated by its own secretariat with assistance from the member organisations.
Since its inauguration in 2009, the Danish NCD Alliance has initiated and supported NCD Alliances throughout East Africa with projects mainly funded by the Danish International Development Agency.
