Celebrating the power and potential of communities to act on NCDs

24th August 2021

2 weeks to go until the Global Week for Action on NCDs! Are you ready?

The Global Week for Action is less than 2 weeks away and momentum is building. Every September, the campaign unites the NCD movement. This year the campaign is celebrating the power of communities to create, demand and advocate for a healthier world!

From 2020-2025, each year will focus on a specific theme. This year's theme is community engagement. Communities power governments and we all have the right to participate in decisions that affect our lives and our health. We all can help create and/or sustain a conducive environment for communities to engage, demand and advocate for healthier societies! We can all help ensure that commitments made translate into targets met, to turn back the tide on the current NCD epidemic and improve health for all. We’ve seen through COVID‑19 the devastating effects of neglect of NCDs and failure to invest in our health systems - it’s time to stop making the same mistake.

Get your social media platforms ready with campaign logos and banners!

We invite you to share your messages using the new campaign assets including the campaign logo (which is available in 7 languages). Make a statement and post a social media banner of your choice with many options for Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

Our social media toolkit will also help you leverage the power of social media, calling on everyone, everywhere to #ActOnNCDs.
You can even check out our NEW revamped website in EnglishEspañol and Français.

Be a Voice of Change

Everyone is affected by NCDs in some way, be it living with an NCD, caring for someone with an NCD, or being at risk of an NCD. Your voice matters as we collectively call on governments to step up with meaningful action to reduce preventable suffering, death and disability from NCDs. Create your Voice of Change card using the interactive card generator through the campaign website. Anyone can be a Voice of Change!
