The Malaysia Advocacy Agenda of People Living with NCDs was developed through a consultative process involving over 100 people living with a range of NCD conditions and was launched in February 2021.

Through virtual community conversations and an online consultation in four local languages—English, Bahasa, Mandarin, and Tamil—the Agenda captures diverse perspectives on the challenges, needs, and priorities of people living with NCDs. Led by an expert working group of NCD community leaders, it identifies four key advocacy areas: Human Rights & Social Justice; Prevention; Treatment, Care, and Support; and Meaningful Involvement. The Malaysia Advocacy Agenda has strengthened NCD Malaysia’s engagement with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and Parliament, advocating for a people-centered NCD response and contributing to Malaysia’s sustainable development and health policies.
