Asst. Prof. Dr Nikolai Sharkov is a distinguished dental medicine specialist, health policy leader, and President of the FDI World Dental Federation (FDI). He holds a Master’s degree in Dental Medicine with specialities in Paediatric and General Dental Medicine, as well as a Master of Business Administration with speciality in Health Management, bringing together clinical expertise, academic scholarship and high-level governance experience in global oral health. 

As FDI President, Dr Sharkov leads the organisation in its mission as the leading global voice of the dental profession, working with its members to improve oral health worldwide and advance its vision of a world with optimal oral health.
