Nina Renshaw has been an advocate for clean air throughout her career and joined Clean Air Fund as Head of Health in Spring 2022. She brings eighteen years of international experience spanning health, environment, transport, economic policy, and international development. Before joining Clean Air Fund, she served as Director of Policy and Advocacy at the NCD Alliance in Geneva, where she focused on preventing noncommunicable diseases and promoting equitable healthcare access worldwide. Earlier in her career, she led the European Public Health Alliance as Secretary-General in Brussels and also worked as Deputy Director at Transport & Environment. Nina holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary European Politics and Policy from Humboldt University and the University of Bath, writing her thesis on civil society’s role in environmental policymaking. She also earned a degree in International Business and Modern Languages from Aston University. Throughout her career, she has advised organisations including the WHO, OECD, UNECE, and the European Commission, and has served on the boards of several NGOs focused on health, sustainability, and environmental policy.
