Multistakeholder hearing on the 4th UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs
On 2 May 2025, a Multistakeholder Hearing (MSH) will be held as a key precursor to the High-Level Meeting (HLM4) of the UN General Assembly on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and the promotion of mental health and well-being.
This hearing provides an important opportunity for a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including civil society organizations and relevant private sector entities, to engage in the discussions shaping global health priorities.
The MSH aims to gather input that will inform the outcomes of the HLM4, scheduled for 25 September 2025, and contribute to the development of a Political Declaration that will guide international efforts on these critical issues.
Key Objectives of the MSH
The MSH is designed to identify actionable milestones and foster discussions that will directly influence the agenda for HLM4. This includes the formulation of concrete recommendations for addressing the global challenges related to noncommunicable diseases and mental health.
