In 2025, the NCD Alliance (NCDA) continued to grow and strengthen its global civil society network, closing the year with over 500 members across more than 100  countries. Full and associate member organisations include non-governmental organisations, patient groups, academia, and national and regional NCD alliances, together forming a diverse civil society movement united to act on NCDs.

Each year, NCDA invites its full and associate members to share feedback through an annual membership survey. The survey helps NCDA better understand members’ priorities, engagement with NCDA activities, and overall satisfaction, including areas for improvement.

We sincerely thank all members who took the time to share their perspectives. Your insights are invaluable in shaping NCDA’s work and strengthening how we support the network.

Who responded?

The 2025 survey was completed by 65 individuals from member organisations representing approximately 50% of NCDA’s full and associate membership network. Respondents represented a range of civil society member organisations based across 44 countries.

Survey highlights

Overall, the survey revealed high levels of member satisfaction. Most respondents reported that NCDA membership has been “most useful” in supporting their advocacy efforts, and that they are ”most likely” to recommend NCDA membership to other civil society organisations.

Members ranked the following benefits as ”most valuable” in 2025:

  • Opportunities to attend and feature in events
  • Networking opportunities and relationship building across the NCD community
  • Exchange of knowledge, policy and advocacy intelligence.

The activities ranked as “most supportive” of members work during 2025 included the 2025 Global NCD Alliance Forum (selected by 71% respondents) and the NCD Alliance advocacy webinars (selected by 43% of respondents).

Membership priorities and outlook

Members reported a range of organisational priorities aligned with NCDA's strategic impact goals, with the results showing a diverse range of focus across NCD policy and advocacy topics. Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, members highlighted engagement with key events and processes:

  • Follow up to the fourth UN High-Level Meeting of NCDs and Mental Health
  • The 79th World Health Assembly
  • The 3rd Global Financing Dialogue
  • Preparations for the 2027 UN High-Level Meeting on UHC

This diversity of focus underscores a key strength of the NCDA network, its breadth and shared commitment to collective action.
