79th World Health Assembly (WHA 79)
The World Health Assembly (WHA) is the decision-making body of the World Health Organization. Convened annually in May, the Assembly brings together delegations from all WHO Member States to determine WHO policies, programmes, and budgets, and to consider resolutions and decisions that shape global health priorities.
NCD Alliance will engage throughout the World Health Assembly by coordinating with its global network to develop joint civil society statements, track NCD-relevant agenda items, and advocate for stronger, more accountable action on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases.
NCDA will also compile and share information on NCD-related side events taking place during WHA. Stay tuned for NCDA’s advocacy briefing, which will outline key priorities, messages, and opportunities for engagement during the Assembly.
